It's been a while. Nobody read the last one anyway, probably because I didn't tell anyone I was doing this. Ya think? Very crazy year this year, personally and in the "real" world. I'm going through a divorce and my wife wants to make me poor, just in time for all those tax cuts for millionaires to kick in. Typical timing on my part. We liberals just can't get the hang of screwing people for money. This empathy business is really getting in the way of getting rich. I think my new health insurance (I had to change for the fourth time in six years because my old company doubled their rates) will pay to have my conscience removed, however, so that's good news.
Well, that's it for now. I'm going to wait a little longer before I tell anyone about this blog, so I can work up my courage. Until then, I remain, Above Average Height Man.

Greetings, Earthlings
Everyone else has talked about me long enough; now it's time for me to talk about myself. I encourage all of you to do the same. My impetus for writing this was the recent Supreme Court decision opening the floodgates to corporate money in the political process. I tried convincing my friends that the only solution was to change our conception of the Constitution so as to emphasize the individual who holds the rights, rather than the rights themselves. The Constitution recognizes the rights that accrue to individuals; it is not just some laundry list of things that we should and shouldn't do. To that end, one of the biggest mistakes of the last 150 years was the recognition of corporations as some sort of people; corporations need lists of do's and dont's, not general principles. My effort to convince my friends failed, so I decided to open myself to a wider audience, and possibly learn how to be more persuasive. I'd be interested to know how many people out there think about constitutional issues; is it time for a Constitutional Convention?
